Cookie policy

Why there is no cookie banner

HomeStaged uses only strictly necessary technical cookies to deliver the service you asked for. Article 22.2 of Spain's Law 34/2002 (LSSI) and the Spanish Data Protection Authority's (AEPD) Guide on the use of cookies exempt from consent those cookies used solely to enable communication or to provide a service you have expressly requested, including session cookies, user identification cookies with no tracking purpose and language preference cookies. That is why we do not ask for consent and show no pop-up.

Site analytics run without cookies and without persistent identifiers (see section 3).

If we ever added non-exempt cookies (advertising, analytics with identifiers, social media), we would show a banner with "Accept" and "Reject" buttons at the same level, as the AEPD criterion in force since January 2024 requires, and we would update this policy.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser to remember information between visits or between pages.

2. Cookies HomeStaged uses

Cookie Type Purpose Duration First or third party
hs_uid Technical, necessary Random identifier (UUID) that links your browser to your free use and your credit balance. Without it we could not deliver the credits you buy. It contains no personal data and is not used for cross-site tracking 1 year First party
hs_lang Technical, preference Remembers the language you chose (Spanish or English) so we do not redirect you every time 1 year First party

Both cookies are set from our domain. hs_uid carries the HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax attributes.

3. Cookieless analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits, page views, country and device type in aggregate. This service sets no cookies and stores no persistent identifiers on your device; it derives a temporary identifier from the request that cannot recognise you across sessions or across sites. More information: https://vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy.

4. Cookies during checkout

When you buy credits, the checkout is served by Lemon Squeezy (in an overlay or on its own page). At that point Lemon Squeezy may set its own cookies on its domain to process the payment and prevent fraud. Those cookies are governed by its policy: https://www.lemonsqueezy.com/privacy. We have no access to them.

5. How to manage or delete cookies

You can delete or block cookies from your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions

If you delete hs_uid you lose the link between your browser and your credits. If you have purchased credits you can recover them at https://homestaged.app/en/recuperar with your order number and purchase email. If you block cookies entirely, the tool cannot keep track of your credits and will not work properly.

6. More information

How the data linked to these cookies is processed is described in the Privacy policy. Questions: guillermojulian.gallegogonzalez@gmail.com.
